Here are some past or ongoing projects studying language attrition from a variety of angles.

- First language attrition among German-Jewish refugees This was my PhD project, conducted a very long time ago.
- Bilingual development. In this ongoing project, conducted in collaboration with researchers in Germany and France, we look at how language processing may change over time in first and second languages. The project is funded by the ESRC, DFG and ARC for the period 2024-2027.
- Negotiating Multilingualism in Situations of Conflict. This project is funded by the ESRC for the period 2024-2028 and investigates the impact of language attitudes on how easily the brain can access the language. We are looking at Ukrainian-Russian and Catalan-Spanish bilinguals living in the UK and other European countries.
